Join two popular Country Music performers as they lead you on a fun, Texas-style walk through two of America’s most fascinating and historic areas… the beautiful San Antonio River Walk… and the heroic battle of the Alamo.

As y’all walk along the beautiful pathways alongside the water and over its delightful arched bridges you’ll hear two awesome and legendary, yet very different, stories. One story is about the fight to create the incredible River Walk in the Great Bend area of the San Antonio River, changing it from what was basically a polluted sewer. And a second story, located just steps away from the river, is about the heroic and tragic battle at the Alamo to keep Texas independent. Together these events today are celebrated by millions of visitors annually making them the most popular destinations in Texas.

Over 50 Stops on a 1 1/2 Mile Circular Route

Okay, y’all. This tour is fascinating for everyone and it’s presented with Texas fun, enhanced with dramatic music, incredible history, and fascinating stories. You’ll love it! Our three professional voice-over performers deliver the descriptions in an easy to listen to manner so that it’s enjoyable. And don’t miss taking time out along the way for some incredible food and drinks while sitting in this incredible atmosphere. But if you are sitting at a table directly alongside the water, be careful how far back you push your chair!

As you walk at your own pace. Stop when you want to explore the location further. Continue on your own schedule. This audio adventure is awesome, informative, and sometimes chilling, heartbreaking, and surprising. An experience you will long remember.

  • Hear the story of how one man’s incredible dream to solve the River problems in the Great Bend and how his design took ten years to be realized and was only made possible by a group of community-minded ladies.

  • Be immersed in the battle of the Alamo as the audio recreates the action as if you were there, actually in the battle, being overrun by the enemy.

  • Visit the quaint little Villita village, where San Antonio began. And you’ll be surprised to learn who the first Europeans were to occupy the village!

  • See how the European style and atmosphere along the River so well integrates visually with the city around it.

  • See where the defenders of the Alamo, knowing they were greatly outnumbered, stepped many by man over the “line in the sand” committing themselves to fight to their last breath.

  • See where to find the oldest and longest wooden bar in Texas!

  • Gain an understanding of how the engineering works to protect the Great Bend area from flooding and works to keep the area as beautiful as it is.

  • See the site of the Veramendi Palace, which held the politically powerful family controlling the area. And hear about one of the family’s daughters who married Alamo hero James Bowie.

  • Oh, and beware of the gargoyles!

You’ll love discovering what most simply don’t exist.
